National Bike (and walk to School) Day

Bike (and walk) to School Day allows participants to celebrate the joy of active commuting while building a sense of community and school spirit. The event also brings attention to the importance of creating safe routes to school.

Mountain Biking 101

This is an introductory skills clinic that will cover topics to get you riding and enjoying off-road trails. Skills covered will include: braking, bike/body position, cornering, how to navigate common obstacles found on trails, basic bike maintenance/repair and trail etiquette. The class includes an hour long group ride. If you plan on riding, you must bring a mountain bike, a properly fitting helmet and water.

NMBA brings together people who love mountain biking, being out in the woods, and are passionate about environmental stewardship in central Pennsylvania.

Learn about the realities of bike commuting, traffic safety principles, what to wear, what kind of gear you’ll need to haul a change of clothes, ride at night, how and where to lock your bike, and much more.

Ride of Silence

Each year, bicycle riders in the U.S. have been killed or injured while riding on public roadways.  All bicyclists to participate in a  bike ride in coordination with the  World Wide National Ride of Silence to honor those who were lost.
